Colors at Ruby Beach few minutes after the sun had gone down over

the horizon. All comments and ratings are welcome.

I think the color and tonalities are lovely here Jay. I do think that without the sun to hold your attention near the horizon you have a tad too much sky. IMO the composition would be perfect if you cropped about the top 25% of the sky out to tighten things up a bit.

Excellent cropping suggestion. I have reposted image with your suggestion. Thanks for taking time.

Thank you for all your comments and ratings.

Technical Details: This photo was taken about 5-10 minutes after sunset. Exposure time was 15 secs @ F10. Focus was manually set close to hyperfocal distance. The raw image was processed using Photoshop CS. Curves adjustment was used to bring out some details in shadows and fine tune the colors.

Gads this is gorgeous...love the detail in the pebbles and boulders...you can really feel the dampness of the ground. whatever you are doing in curves is working wonderfully.

Nice rich colors and spectacular tones, combined with the very essential element here...*sharpness* in the rocks, makes this one work very well. I do think the rock furthest to the left clutters (only slightly) the image but only a minor amount. You seem to often prefer vertical images where I tend to be drawn more towards the horizontal. Guess that what keeps things interesting. Nice work Jay!
