billfoster 0 Posted May 25, 2004 On this picture, I edited out about forty tourists, a cleaning truck and several peices of a disassembled concert stage. My girlfriend and I argue about this all the time. She says it's cheating. I say, it looked like this at sometime in the week .. I just wasn't there. I think it is no different than using filters or pushing film in the darkroom. What do YOU think? Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 21, 2006 I think you did a good job of post-shoot processing with this one, Bill. I don't see it as really "cheating." In my opinion (which is worth exactly what you pay for it), there's a big difference in removing things from an image to bring it into line with your vision and adding stuff to an image that wasn't there to begin with. It's two different sides of the creative coin. I like this image a lot (even if it is in c*l*r), so it's nice to see it not cluttered up with those pesky tourists. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted February 22, 2006 That's a good point, Jim. I never thought of it, but that's how I feel: taking away is ok but adding is a no-no, generally. I drove a long way to see this place and was only there a few hours. I refuse to be penalized because they couldn't clean up their stage before I got there. ;-) Three color images you liked ... step over to the dark side .... Link to comment
