srspears 0 Posted May 25, 2004 Eagles, Bald Eagles anyway, don't kill their siblings. Many of the hawk species do, not many of the owl species. Some small bird species do, many do not. It's not a hard and fast rule. This pair, who we've been observing since 1998, are excellent parents, having fledged 12 eaglests since 1999. If all three make it this year, that makes 15 offspring in 7 years. Link to comment
cghubbell 0 Posted May 28, 2004 I would love to see more sharpness in this image. Great moment to capture with the beak open. A bit more depth of field wouldn't hurt to bring more of the leaves into focus. Link to comment
