Full Moonrise at Mesa Arch

A full moon rise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

The second most photographed natural arch in the world according to

Park literature. The next morning (and probably most mornings) I

heard that 25-30 photographers were there. My wife and I were the

only ones there for this moon rise event.

Canyonlands is one of the most underrated national parks in the country, but I find it fascinating ... and Mesa Arch is one of the gems that can be seen there. This is a great shot. Very good composition. (See my folder for a different view of the arch.)
