I respect the amount of time one has to put into hand coloring a picture. And you did very very well with this one!

the hand coloring lends a timlessness and dreaminess to the scene. It seems like a fond and distant memory.

 

Makes me want to explore hand coloring, though I doubt I have the patience...

Excellent work, Maggie...A hundred years ago, there were workshops with dozens of women hand colouring B/W photos for the postcard trade...

 

I believe this old roadhouse has burned down since you took the picture..It is about two hours drive from me.

Really nice work. IMO, it needs a highlight. Something to make it zing. Maybe some color in the dark wood on the inn.
