John and Pam enjoying Bear Lake

I have received several complements on this photo from friends and family and would like to know what people here think. If I had the opportunity to shoot this shot again, or one similar to it, what are some suggestions for improvement. Or, if you don't have suggestions, what is it about this image that appeals to you the most.

It would be best if you were far from this scene in order to have a larger depht of field. But your photo gives a good feeling of serenity.

yes, plenty of potential here. start with some more contrast (could be the scan), say a yellow filter, something to darken the boring white sky (or consider eliminating alltogether; i'd go for the dark sky filter). second, try this with a very wide lens, up close to get the ppl, or a longer tele, a sort of "looking over the shoulder" perspective. that's all i can think of at the moment :) nice photo still as it is.
