Flamingoes

Just some flamingoes at the Albequerque Zoo. This is form a series

that I did on the zoo for a class I was taking in Santa Fe.

not bad for a guy that is learning. I would have waited for better light though (not so darn contrasty) there might still be a little burning and dodging to do on this one

Perfect contrast IMHO. When the detail is blown out, there's not supposed to be a gray cast from lazy printing. You have both of your whites and your blacks. Look at these other pictures online, and you'll see what I'm talking about, so nice job. A fill flash would have been the cat's meow perhaps a stop underexposed. keep it up kid and stick with the contrast you're doing. Somebody is teaching you well, or you lucked out :-) If you lucked out with some #2 paper, then you need to use a dichro head with magenta and yellow to really fine tune your prints. It's not an interesting picture but it's a good print.
