This is my first time uploading for a critique. I hope I get this figured out.

looks good, lighting is fine and good composition. I think you could make the image even stronger by cropping a little bit on the left and bottom-just an idea...

One thing I haven't figured out yet, how can I save for web in Photoshop without the picture getting washed out? The hair on the guy is actually a bright electric blue.

the washed-out business is probably because you're working in Adobe RGB, and Web stuff works in sRGB (which is a little desaturated as compared to ARGB for the same numbers)... to fix, before Save-for-Webbing, choose Image->Mode->Convert to Profile and select sRGB, with Intent=Perceptual. good luck!
