I am fairly new to SLR photography and would like to know from some

more experienced photographers what you do and don't like about this

picture.

Surely the exposure location was the south-east corner of the intersection of 42nd Street and 6th Avenue!

 

I am looking at it now from my office window.

I should add that I like the picture - it's very atmospheric. I would crop out the lower part, though - the underexposure of the foreground works well for the silhouetted figures, but not for the snow patch, which, to my eye, detracts from the composition in any case. You hardly need it to convey the feeling of the scene - the mist, slick road and huddled figures do the job quite well enough.
