debi 0 Posted July 11, 2001 this is black and white - dodged and burned - then handcolored the eyes Link to comment
emeseg 0 Posted July 11, 2001 Nice. It immediately grabbed my attention. I think your technique worked perfectly for this picture. The eyes are very telling with appropriate emphasis. Good picture. Thanks for sharing! Link to comment
jillmyers 0 Posted July 11, 2001 Sorry, this just doesn't work for me. I'd like to see the original. Too manipulated...looks sorta alien... Link to comment
cher__ 0 Posted July 12, 2001 I really like how this turned out. Mabye I would have added the mouth also to give it a more complete feel to it. Very interesting though! Link to comment
Wayne Melia 6,037 Posted July 13, 2001 Well done. I am thoroughly (sp?) enjoying looking at it. Disagree with adding mouth; it would detract from the effect -- maybe could have even taken more away (softened) the bottom of the nose? Link to comment
boko 0 Posted July 13, 2001 is this done on HC film?? when i look at this I see and overexposed image of a childs face that has had the surrounding area erased in photoshop. Though they are beautiful eyes, they need more emphasis or maybe just need to be bigger. Link to comment
debi 0 Posted July 14, 2001 The intended impression is of the angelic beauty of a baby's eyes. The "photoshop" look was actually created in the photo lab, and the over exposure was purposefully done in the lab. I would have even liked it printed a bit lighter. Link to comment
dave teesdale 0 Posted July 28, 2002 I'm not one of those "smart" people who know just how you made the picture. I just like it. Some of these yay-whos need a life. Keep on truckin'!!! Link to comment
