Personally, I'm fascinated by the herons...the great blue lets you

get oh so close, then flies to the other side of the lake. This was

early evening, taken from shade into sunlight, on a tripod.

Now, this maybe only another bird picture for you, but I like it. Birds are my favorite painting subjects. I wish we could see a little bit more of the reflection of the bird in the water. The picture would have had to be taken vertically rather then horizontally. Still a good pic.
