I like this shot. Even though the subject is centered. the other soldiers in the background help balance it out. It works. Nice job!

am i seeing something wrong or is this dog really huge? it took me about 30 seconds to figure out where everyone was standing because of the immence size of the dog:). but a great shot

NO you are right, it's an Irish wolfhound. They are huge. That is why it caught my eye. If it had been an German Shepperd I probably would not have photographed it.
