This is reported to be the largest cross in the Western Hemisphere.

It was located along I40 in Texas.

Thanks. It is difficult to get a feel or the size of the cross. I wonder if it is taller?

Well, I looked it up. It is 190'. Oddly, it turns out there is another cross 198' in Effingham, IL that is yet taller. http://www.thom.org/gallery/statues/ILEFcross/

Can you find out and let me know the height of the cross you highlighted? ;-)

Tnx,

Steve

I've driven past this thing many times. You can see it at least 10 miles away. Very funny to see this while traveling through the very boring Great Plains. I believe it is made of aluminum siding made for grain silos. Besides this one off of I-40, I've seen another off of I-75 in Tennesse.
