dave_nitsche 0 Posted March 11, 2004 16 Rates and not one comment. Shame. It's one of my favorite in the series. The black areas almost look like ink to me, which is a subect I am going to be playing with soon. Ink reflects color beautifully... but I digress... A great image. Again, taking the normal and making it interesting. score... Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted March 13, 2004 Sally, I like the blue cast and the contours here. You force the viewer to see the everyday in a different way - a mark of good art, I think. Link to comment
sallymckay-lepage 0 Posted March 13, 2004 Ah, Dave I have come to realize the effort is wasted when it comes to that subject. Best to keep positive and take what you can get. Ink you say?? I'm looking forward to that one. Maybe you should try incorporating the Rorschach test somewhere in the subject matter. Edgy very edgy. Sally Doug, I'm glad you see the value in what I'm attempting to do. The mundane, the everyday, the usual are all subjects that I find interesting. The twist is in how you present them. Thanks for noticing. Sally Link to comment
jerry_franklin 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Can you come to my house and fix my sinks, if not, can you take a picture of them. I am blown away with these photos. I never thought of looking at them with a photographic eye. It just proves, a good photo may be right under your nose. You just have to see it. Link to comment
sallymckay-lepage 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Jerry..eh ..no..and sure! I'm glad you like them. Thanks for stopping. sally Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 17, 2004 I like the abstract in the deep reflection as compared to the recognizable bubbles. The color is smooth and pleasing. Too meaningless though! Perhaps a human figure standing upside down in the background would add interest. The is almost the case here but not so. Link to comment
oxy 0 Posted August 26, 2004 meaningless?? what the hell!?!? maybe meaningless to you. dang. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 26, 2004 Easy Rene, easy! Take it with a grain of salt! I only meant that it could be better with a human figure, not that it is trash as you seem to believe I said. Link to comment
sallymckay-lepage 0 Posted August 27, 2004 Rene and Isadro.....I'm going to let you two continue with your discusssion....please. I'm just damn thrilled that anyone cares enough to comment in the first place!!!! I have a couple of other folders , if you have the time???? sally Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 31, 2004 Well Sally I'm up for it but I don't see anyone else interested in this Discussion. Just kidding! I actually don't have a computer at the time and am connected at the local library. When I get my running again I'll post some interesting (to me at least) abstracts. I hope you like them. I'll let you know when I post them. Some of them actually almost look like this one. Link to comment
htc 0 Posted September 1, 2004 Nice and interesting photo. The exposure and details are fine. I am a little distracted by the upper right corner. IMHO I would let more bubbles in there. regards, calin Link to comment
