This photo is a cropped version of another in my portfolio. It's definitely an

improvement - and in attempting to grab a portrait of a leopard, is probably

more successful compositionally. comments and crits welcome. thanks.

I think the composition is perfect. A stunning shot. Was this in the wild?

I haven't rated your pic because I don't give ratings on other people's photos (a) I don't feel qualified to do so and (b) I think, in any case, IMHO the ratings should really cover three areas - aesthetics, originality, AND execution (or "technical merit"). But, just for the record, for me, if it was taken in the wild this pic would score top marks in all three!

What an interesting picture !!!! You have captured the subject well. The photo is almost perfect. If the sky was a little more blue it would be a 7/7. I still rate it 6/7. Nicely done !!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comments, Peter and Igor. Igor, this shot is cropped already, and think I disagree about cropping more off the bottom. I think it would lose some of the dynamic to cut out the 'meat'. :-)

Peter, yes, this was taken in the wild. a handheld shot taken in the back of a landrover in Sabi Sabi, a reserve that adjoins Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Yep, I agree wholheartedly about the cropping; as I said, I think the composition is just about perfect. The leopard occupies the top two-thirds of the frame and, without the meat, the viewer would be left wondering just what it was had engaged the leopard's interest

Wow!!! This is a magnificent shot. The color of the leopard's coat is amazing. The composition is fantastic and technically flawless. What is it looking at?

Thanks Nousheen. The Leopard is looking at what's remaining of an Impala she's stashed in a tree - ready to continue eating,
