Rented Lens: 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L-Series Canon @ 200mm, 1/640th Sec, f/2.8, Av, ISO:200, 5pm. This image wasn't siginificantly altered in contrast or color tone. It was taken during the Southern California wildfires of 2003 and that's really what the sky looked like.

This photo was taken during the 2003 California wildfires - the

spray was lit because the sun was just below the smoke-cover over my

right shoulder. I thought about cropping the image a bit tighter,

but I think 1) some of the power is lost, and 2) I lose the drama of

the sprinkled water spray.

 

Comments/Thoughts? Id' love to hear what you might have done

differently to catch this scene better too.

i looked for a while and IMHO the crop is the only thing i wolud like to see differnt. specifically left side reduced by about 1/10th and the bottom cropped up to the beginning of the wave rise. again about 1/10th. Just my opinion. cool shot. :)
