When you square off a piece of architecture this way, where one side is almost the mirror of the other side, right down the center line you create to me something that the eye falls out of too fast. Teasing the eye into staying inside the shot for as long as one can get them to stay is many times the goal, because we want the person to want to stay there and stare... You didn't achieve that with this shot. However, you did go with a little different filter to try and spice it up, but I think you did that because you knew that it didn't fly on it's own. A filter should accent an already very sound piece, not try to turn an unsound one into a sound one. ( however I have been guilty of the same thing many times...) So we live and learn. Next time if you want to take this perspective at least drop that center line off to the right or left and see what you get. Link to comment
