Sakens Bee Hunter (Robber Fly)

I was wandering around the gardens shooting macro stuff (had the macro lens on the camera, off the camera flash etc) when this guy buzzed (very loudly) along and landed right in front of me. I squeezed off three shots holding the camera at arms length becuase I wasn't sure if this big mean looking bug would sting.... He flew away, and I haven't seen another one since...
