andrew workman 0 Posted February 6, 2004 OMG!!! Can I say that here? Did you apply makup under the eyes to create this effect??? This is an absolutly striking photo! Link to comment
nina1 0 Posted February 6, 2004 Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear you liked it! No I haven't added any make up. She's usually kind of dark beneath her eyes. You should see what she looks like when it's past her bedtime... hehehe I've attached a sephia version of the shot as well. Think I like this one even better :) /Nina Link to comment
sini_rautjoki 0 Posted February 6, 2004 those eyes are amazing... it´s impossible to forget this picture:) Link to comment
taner 3 Posted February 6, 2004 More B&W work needs to be done on her eyes: even closer shots and tighter crops - probably not in 35mm or with 6MP though, only medium format and 16MP and larger can do justice to these eyes. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 7, 2004 This child has the most beautiful eyes. Lucky you for getting to take the photos! I like the composition of this and your other version is great, too. Link to comment
bill_sams 0 Posted February 8, 2004 Can you imagine how happy she's going to be when she grows up and has your amazing shots of her as a child? Shots that are unique and show her personality in addition to her striking look(s)... Link to comment
mark_j_james 0 Posted February 8, 2004 Absolutly Amazing photo, what a little character! Just curious though, did you use a red filter, or only grab the red channel in Photoshop, or just desaturate? Just curious Absolutly fantastic! Link to comment
justin_knotzke 0 Posted February 8, 2004 No doubt, excellent shots. The kid has a great set of eyes. But Nina, surely you are capable to doing great work with other subjects? Link to comment
william_linzenmeyer 1 Posted February 8, 2004 What else can I say? Excellent job. Nice crop. I do like the other version a little better. Link to comment
nina1 0 Posted February 8, 2004 Sini: Thank you so much :) A. Taner: Sure - send some medium format cameras my way and I'm right on it :D Robert Chura: Thank you :) I actually hadn't seen that CD cover before. Thanks for showing it to me! Ren Hoek, Tony P., Kim Slonaker, David Stanton, Mel Wilemon, Rodney W., Maris O., Jack A. and Donna A. - thank you all so VERY much!!! It's really a great to hear that you like the picture of my little angel this much! Bill Sams: I sure hope so! And thank you! Mark James: Wow! Thanks you! And no - I didn't use a red filter. I converted the picture to black and white in Photoshop using the Channel mixer. Send me a mail and I'll send you a downsized copy of the file to show you what I did :) Justin Knotzke: It's nice to hear you like the picture. And 50% of my portfolio here at photo.net actually contains pictures of other subjects than my little princess :) William L.: A huge thank you to you as well! And yes - I agree about the other version - that's my favorite as well. :) Nina Link to comment

nina1 0 Posted February 8, 2004 Hi there Ivar! Tusen takk skal du ha! How I feel about this lense? I simply love it! It has been on my camera 90 % of the time since I bought it. It's tack sharp, and it you don't need the extra f/2.8 on the 16-35 mm or have twice the money to spend (hehehe) I wouldn't hesitate getting it at all. It's really my favorite lense at the moment. Worth every penny. Stephen F.: Thanks! I didn't really plan on being in the picture myself... hehehe... but when you take pictures of children you have to work so fast.. I didn't even remember to check :) :) Nina Link to comment
