INteresting shot, but not very well finished. Go back and clean up the edges. I think this looks like a history book kind of shot, but I can't say anything for real composition or real technique used here, because there doesn't appear to be any. However, the expressions etc make it worth taking a look at.

I agree with Sarah...it is the vintage look that you have achieved which really makes the picture. Great expressions!

This is a magical image -- it has a je ne sais quoi. (I saw your image with cleaned up edges) You have made good use of light and dark in this photograph bringing out only the faces and hands. It appears to be the perfect case for NOT using matrix metering and photo machine processing.

I really like this image, Tiffany--it's interesting! It makes me want to know what the story behind it is...

I think you've made very effective use of color, contrast and composition in this photo. It might not follow the rules--but sometimes breaking the rules works--and here, it most definitely does, in this lovely, vintage-feel image.

Thanks for sharing! :-)

I found this photo through Avatar's highest rated photos list; it is now on my highest rated photos. Stunning, powerful, emotional. There is so much in their faces. Beautiful photo. So happy to have found it.

Tiffany-- This is the next photo in your portfolio that stood out to me. I prefer your original. I think the highlighting at the edges and a sense of depth and light to the background gives this photo life. Your expressiveness and the wonder of children is very aptly and adequately expressed with the technique you've used. I think this is a transcendent photo. --Fred

Thank you, Fred. Thank you too, for reminding me of this image. I haven't seen it in a long time. It was very near and dear to me for sometime.
