Would appreciate an honest evaluation.

Bird is too soft - it looks like your focus point is on the feeder in front of the bird. The "pose" is good, but the bird shows little detail and little color. Some fill flash would really have helped, but the focus is the main problem.

 

Keep trying, these guys are very hard to photograph well without a setup.

Thanks Jeremy. Of course you're right on target. I couldn't get the Coolpix 5700 to focus on the bird - it always kept focusing on the feeder. I spent more time fiddling with the camera than I care to admit.
