john_paskey 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Great photo. Very "smooth" yet sharp. Good composition and exposure. I think this might be one photo that would benefit from a good frame job. Overall, excellent photo, even without it. Link to comment
daniel_rieber 0 Posted January 24, 2004 sweet image! my eye wanders all around but always returns to the caravan. nice composition Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Superb is the world. This deserves POW status and better. Great exposure, great composition, and an outstanding subject. 7/7, what else? Link to comment
albert_ravi 0 Posted January 24, 2004 superb lighting and composition that gives good dimensional effect, placement of subjects is good, hope u had taken from nearby tall sand dune. clickravi2002@yahoo.com Link to comment
sohara2 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Great shot - I think it may be better without the caravan! Link to comment
shirley_sanderson 0 Posted January 24, 2004 GREAT shot! How did you get such a high viewpoint? Were you on a higher dune? Link to comment
lee_s1 0 Posted January 24, 2004 I think the composition is fantastic, and that scale of the dunes would be lost without the caravan. The late afternoon (early morning?) lighting makes the dunes really stand out. Link to comment
mnigro 0 Posted January 24, 2004 wonderful image. don't change a thing. a tribute to the fortitude of the human condition. Link to comment
david_smith35 0 Posted January 24, 2004 This is a very well seen image, enhanced tremendously by the low angle of the lighting, and the elevated view point. This is purely a personal preference, but I would like to have seen the figures just fractionally less close to the edge of the frame. Link to comment
jacoangeli 0 Posted January 24, 2004 Very good, this picture remembers me a photo of Michael Yamashita in his "Marco Polo" trip for NG magazine. Link to comment
barry_needle 0 Posted January 24, 2004 A truly superb picture, Pak. I don't think that the composition could have been better. However, one improvement you might consider is to de-saturate the cyan that is spoiling the shadows? Barry Needle. Link to comment
taras_kirichenko 0 Posted January 25, 2004 I think that it is the background what makes this picture ! Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted January 25, 2004 Place a piece of white paper across the middle of the foto, horizontally, and let us lose the big strong black shadow above the cavalry. How does that look to you? I feel that that gives quite enough shadow/dune information, now it is a bit overkill..The result will get the main subject more prominence, plus we get a better sense of movement from left to right. The composition becomes more strict and clear... Link to comment
