strathconaman 0 Posted January 17, 2004 If you want to do some "bird photography" and don't have a huge lens, you need to find a huge bird. Link to comment
nope 0 Posted January 17, 2004 Looks fine to me! I wish I had a bigger huge lens too. Link to comment
mattvardy 0 Posted January 17, 2004 Tom, this is by far one of the most magnificent heron shots I've ever seen. I have never seen one in such an acrobatic pose. Excellent Job! Link to comment
greenisgold 0 Posted January 17, 2004 Great shot! Looks like one of those fighter jets with the forward-swept wings.http://users.dbscorp.net/jmustain/x-29.jpg Link to comment
ye 0 Posted January 18, 2004 Each animal has "comfort distance". It seems that large birds have much larger one than little birdies... While you sometimes can get to under 15' or even 10' to little ones, the big one will spot you at few 100' and skip. In addition, catching such an angle at the right moment is nearly impossible. Great job - congrats! Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted January 19, 2004 Superb capture. Finding a better composition while shooting a flying bird would be very hard indeed. Link to comment
nate_blaser 0 Posted January 19, 2004 Very interesting position and the blue sky makes a perfect background. Link to comment
WJT 627 Posted January 19, 2004 It is a good photograph. Perhaps a little looser crop so that the feet and upper wing primaries were not touching the frame. A little less exposure in the highlights. Still a nice one! Regards. Link to comment
igsman 0 Posted January 20, 2004 This is a really, truly beautiful and inspirinig photo, the stuff bird photographers' "dreams are made of", I am not sure though if square format works here and it is a little too tight, especially on the left. Still, I envy you here. I wish I could've been there in your place. Link to comment
