wcroninger 0 Posted January 14, 2004 Olga, just looked over your portraits section. Looks a lot better than I would expect for most beginners! ;-) Congratulations. On this portrait I might try a tighter crop on her face. The hood's zipper does nothing and I think you could pull the fur to top of image without a problem. On my LCD monitor the face is pretty much washed out, not necessarily a problem if you were going for a high-key effect. The loss of detail in the hand is a problem I think as it tends to fight with her face for attention. Hope this helps! Link to comment
olga_valcov 0 Posted January 15, 2004 Thanks William, I've been to a studio may be 10 times now. And as it's a hobby for me, it's mainly home study. For some reason I can't get proper skin tones/textures. I guess it's mainly due to harsh light? Do you have any suggestions? Lights further away from the model, less power or? Thanks Link to comment
