Stretching dog

nher

Have been gardening this afternoon. Shaggy, in a lazy way, have been sleeping in the sun on a big stone table in the garden. When I finished, took the camera. Suddenly, Shaggy stood up and stretched itself. I was quick enough to shoot it and here is the result. If I can get a smile from you I give myself satisfied. Do not be too hard on the critics, cause I know the shot is not a good one.

Pues sí, yo encuentro la foto muy simpática y el marco muy adecuado.

Very nice effect of the dog coming out of the frame. Interesting look on the dogs face, unique pose as well. Best, J.W.

Idea is not novel, but the effect with this photo is very good.

I'd be curious to see what it wood look like with symmetric black border.

This is a fantastic Photo. I have a dog that looks EXACTILY like this and I have no idea what type of dog it is. Do you know the breed? Sorry for the off topic question.

Glenn, this a dog from Serra da Estrela (Star Mountains) in central Portugal. These dogs are very strong and faithful. They are used to care about the sheep.

Ah, the nose!. There is NO MANIPULATION on this image.

I have a hard time getting my dogs black face to show up in my photos with this kind of detail, but I'm admittedly a novice.

I've got to ask...your dog looks exactly like my Leonberger, how big is he, and if he's not a Leo, just what is he?

Estrela Mountain Dog is the breed (Serra da Estrela gives it away). The framing is great. It avoids having a lot of fairly bland concrete (?) at the front of the picture.

Sorry to be the first to talk negative about this, but I don't really like the presentation. The photo is great, meaning the moment and quality of picture are great, but the distortion i find strange, and the added border a bit kitschy. Just my oppinion, don't take it too seriously. Cheers!

For me, on the other hand, the composition worked very well. I love the paws outside of the frame, next to the title. Usually I'm not taken with what I think of as poster type presentations of photos, but I think this works very well. I really like the complete package.

The presentation here works very well for me. I might have alloted the black border evenly around the photo, but this way works. The rich colors and clarity are terrific.

To Csab´Jozsa:

I respect you do not like the frame, but the image of the dog has no distortion at all, This is the way it streched.
