I like the concept of this picture a lot, and it's obviously very high quality... BUT I really think the nose of the beast has to be shown for it to be immediately clear what animal it is. You didn't take a vertical shot by any chance, did you?

Thanks for the feedback. I do have several shots showing the nose but I like not having it be immediately clear what the beast is. In fact, that was what I was trying to achieve--"what kind of beast is this that is looking at me?" The print I have framed at home is fairly large (9x14 or so) and people always stop and look into the eyes for a good long while. Some people get it right away and others take a bit longer.
