Sunset stories

Anyone got a clever idea how to improve this one ??

Great photo with excellent light. The overall compostition is good and the size of the 2 people illustrates the size of the ship masts. I find that the sun is too bright though and it can end up to be a distracting feature of the photo.

your thoughts of puting the Sun behind something try and cut down it's effects is good, but you needed to pick somethinng larger or get closer to what yu did chose, but good thinking and I would say we can look forward to more good pics from you for sure ! *R*

I feel that the two persons are the main element, and would suggest to crop around 40% of the top to give them(and the masts) more focus, As i see it, this could perhaps be a reggatta, cutty sark or something, and theese persons are participants, talking about sailing, plans for the day(s) ahead.... or something like that?! Regards!

Here comes my not-so-clever idea

 

I think the position from where you've shot is fine, and the effect of the sun behing the mast is great.

 

Now (1) masts are very vertical object and (2) the talking guys are the main feature of the picture, so I would crop the left 40% of the picture.

Salvatore... I can se a crop point there :)
