vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 12, 2022 Hi Evgeny, as always, a very well lit photo with a majestic landscape, seen from an elevated standpoint. The sun and sky and their reflection/effect on the hoodoos look great, but there's two things I would like to give you as a consideration: the person with the blue jacket sitting on one of the rocks certainly gives a sense of measure, but the landscape itself is getting the point of 'vastness' across already, so (unless you have put the person in the photo for another reason of course), the river on the right is almost a straight line in the composition, which somehow distracts (maybe I've been spoilt by seeing so many meandering rivers in your images). Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
jekamobile 110 Posted August 13, 2022 Hello Vincent. Yes, I agree with you. The blue jacket is somewhat distracting. The scenery has a very busy foreground, which I personally prefer to avoid. But this is a such unique place. I asked my wife to be my model. Helping me with bringing some alive subject into a dead scenery. I think you are right, maybe another color jacket, not that exposing, or without the person at all. I appreciate your attention and the time you spent on such a detailed critique. My best regards, Evgeny Chertov. Link to comment
