Giangiorgio Crisponi 503 Posted August 2, 2022 Find the great grebe - (Red necked grebe) - (Podiceps cristatus) - I photographed this great grebe that camouflaged itself with the flamingos intent on looking for food on the bottom of the Cagliari lagoon. Nikon d500, Sigma Sport 150-600mm, f / 13, 1/1250 sec, ISO 360. Thanks for your comments Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 3, 2022 Hi Giangiorgio, at first I thought the grebe was swimming in between the flamingos, but on closer inspection it's passing them by. As Tina said, this has a funny appearance. It may be (as always) looking for food, but it's not likely it will find much when the flamingos are done. Beautiful colors, excellent DoF and shot at the right moment, something you have a knack for. I would crop off a little from the top if this were my photo. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

gregverena 354 Posted August 3, 2022 Excellent, as usual- at first thought these were sharks, from the thumbnail --guess they haven't invaded your lagoon yet ! Link to comment
