On a walk in June I saw these flowers from a distance. My first impression was that they had to be some kind of malva. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a wild orchid. It grew on the edge of a waterway. I have never been an orchid afficioso and don't share the fascination for the baroque shapes and colors of the bred variations, but these flowers were fabulous; they stood out beautifully (and naturally) against the green background. Your comments are very welcome.

A beautiful image of this wild orchid that stands out sharply from an excellent background, good lighting and colors. In Sardinia we have a great variety of wild orchids. If you send me your email I will send you a PDF of a book on the wild orchids of Sardinia, useful for recognizing these jewels of nature, ciao Giangiorgio
