Pierre Dumas 280 Posted May 16, 2022 PN is dying as I said in one of my comments recently! Nice shot! Arrivederci! PDE Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 477 Posted May 16, 2022 Franz in this regard on the decadence of Photo.net, look at the recent photo of Vincent Oiseau, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted May 16, 2022 Hi Franz, your reaction asking this question is a very good one and might even evoke more thoughts than my post. This photo (and the way you edited it) is certainly more noticeable than mine, which is a good thing. You already know my answer to your question. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted May 16, 2022 Giangiorgio, I made my upload after I saw Vincents picture. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted May 16, 2022 Vincent, showing a dead bird was totally unnecessary in the context of your question. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 280 Posted May 16, 2022 Franz, go to your public profile (or mine) and adjust it to show photos of all times, then click on views and of comments and then you'll understand it's already dead! Cheers to that! PDE Link to comment
bruckner 528 Posted May 16, 2022 If it does it will be our loss and any future artisans, I have been inspired by many tat are no longer here, problem is tat there are too many sites that are competing to get the traffic and revenue, take care. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted May 17, 2022 PD it's been a long time since everyone had endless views in PN. That was over from one day to the next and everyone had far fewer views of new uploads than before. I still remember some people crying about it on the forums. It was a very strange story. I had the suspicion that the number of views had been artificially pushed beforehand. Then there have been a lot of changes in PN over time that didn't improve anything. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted May 17, 2022 George, you are right. In addition, the PN is neglected by the operators. There are no more notifications. Editor's picks, Photos of the Day and Photos of the Week were removed a long time ago, but the PM pages have not been updated. You can find the empty pages under "Explore". It was really embarrassing for the operators when recently PN was not reachable for days .Bad service for good money. Regards, Franz Link to comment
frieder_galwand 1 Posted May 17, 2022 PN won't die because it's wonderful. If your pictures are really bad, or no photographs at all, you'll get the best reviews. If you become a member of the comment and favorite mafia, you'll quickly become famous in PN. That makes PN immortal. Cheers! Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted May 18, 2022 To answer your question, Franz, PN is dying a painful death. The next owner or corporate officer of PN authored a thread in Casual Photo Conversations entitled "The Future of Photo Net, or a facsimile thereof. You should read at least some of the posts; they are enlightening. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ----------_-----_---- "PN won't die because it's wonderful.
