War. This is a terrible word. This is what divided the world before February 24 and after.

I live in Kyiv, very close to the suburbs, small, peaceful and cozy cities of Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel, where the Russian invaders brutally destroyed the civilian population - women, the elderly, children, tortured them, raped and killed them. I want my country, my Ukraine, to be safe and peaceful, the way it was before the invasion of the Russian occupiers.

Another dark chapter in European history. What can we learn from the history, that we have not learned anything from history. Svetlana your camera is your weapon against the Russian occupiers. Keep on publish images from Ukraine.

The horrors of war are aptly portrayed in this image. Plumes of dark gray and black smoke herald what the Russians do best - destroying Ukraise and its people. Yet Ukrainans won't let that happen. Their courage and resolve is beyond measuring.

To Franz Weber , Tommy Mostrup , Arthur Ahrlin, Gary Hollingworth , Michael Linder ; Thank you very much for your comments and for your kind words, for your support. The support of people from all over the world is very important for Ukraine now. The horrors that the Russian occupiers are doing on our land are beyond human understanding. A lot of civilians, a lot of children died at the hands of the invaders. These are heavy losses for which there is no justification. These are thousands of ruined lives.
