Giangiorgio Crisponi 475 Posted March 14, 2022 A photo so well detailed that you can see the colored threads inserted in the paper of the banknote, technically magnificent, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment

michaellinder 16,612 Posted March 15, 2022 Pierre, I wish that this dollar bill would have its print date. When the USA first printed paper dollars, they were secured by means of gold (the gold standard). Sometime thereafter, the government then secured the dollar bill by means of the silver standard. Finally, apparently due to a shortage of silver, paper money was secured by "the full faith and . . . of the United States Government." Sadly, it's getting to the point when a dollar won't even cover the cost of a cup of coffee. This image is quite well presented. Perhaps the ripples in the bill account for not all the horizontals being straight. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted March 16, 2022 Hi, Michael! Thank you for your information about the $! I thought too much printing was the problem! And thank you for your honest critique! Cheers! PDE Link to comment
