Wayne Sadler 612 Posted January 26, 2022 In order for a cup to contain the ocean it must be as large as the ocean – zen proverb. When a ferry or any ship is not freighted with cargo, it takes water into its bilge as ballast for stability. (A cup not as large as the ocean still benefits from containing what it can of the ocean.) Link to comment
Todd Kraenzel 1 Posted January 27, 2022 Terrific image Wayne. The lighting is just right to bring out the details of the vehicles and people near the bow. Great colors as well. Well done! Todd Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 612 Posted January 27, 2022 Many thanks, Todd. I must admit the lighting emerged as a surprise to me. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted January 28, 2022 Wayne...Excellent head-on shot of the ferry! This ferry looks as if it is built to take some ''sea'' as even fully loaded with vehicles, it still has plenty of freeboard....a much more adequate link than what we use to have here in the shape of a scow with tugboat power to access our twin islands.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 612 Posted January 28, 2022 Thanks, Laurent, for the education. I've wondered at the stability of these ferries. Link to comment
