Giangiorgio Crisponi 498 Posted January 17, 2022 Wonderful bokeh, the champagne was supposed to be good, the glasses are empty , ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
ccabaniss 9 Posted January 18, 2022 Thank you Giangiorgio. The lens, Helios 44M, considered a classic "bokeh monster" produces swirly bokeh at and near wide open aperture. Link to comment
vincentoiseau 83 Posted January 18, 2022 Hi Charles, nice to see another famous vintage lens that you use. You made very good use of the bokeh it's capable of; that makes this image extra festive. Nice use of colors too. I know and own several versions of the Helios 44M, but not all six (I believe) of them. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
ccabaniss 9 Posted January 19, 2022 Hi Vincent: Thank you so much for your comments. The version I own is single-coated with an 8 blade aperture in M42 mount, made at the KMZ factory in Russia between '79 & '82....according to my notes from the time of purchase about 5 years ago. I found it on ebay in excellent condition for relatively small dollars. Regards, Charles. Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 556 Posted January 20, 2022 Very nice. I especially like those bokeh patterns on the glasses. Link to comment
