Thank you Giangiorgio. The lens, Helios 44M, considered a classic "bokeh monster" produces swirly bokeh at and near wide open aperture.

nice to see another famous vintage lens that you use. You made very good use of the bokeh it's capable of; that makes this image extra festive. Nice use of colors too. I know and own several versions of the Helios 44M, but not all six (I believe) of them. Kind regards, Vincent

Hi Vincent: Thank you so much for your comments. The version I own is single-coated with an 8 blade aperture in M42 mount, made at the KMZ factory in Russia between '79 & '82....according to my notes from the time of purchase about 5 years ago. I found it on ebay in excellent condition for relatively small dollars. Regards, Charles.
