tm_j 30 Posted November 5, 2021 Grazie Mille Giangiorgio! One interesting thing about the Olympus camera is a feature called Pro-Capture which activate a buffer when the button is half pressed. When the button is pressed all the way to shoot then it records about 35 images prior to when the button is fullly press. That's how I got this image since the bird took off suddenly from a perch and I was a bit slow in pushing the button but the Pro-Capture option still record the sequence before I press the button fully, It's a neat feature! vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 6, 2021 Hi TmJ, that's a neat feature indeed! You have made optimal use of the technical qulity of your Olympus setup with this gorgeous capture; a sharp and contrasty photo of this kestrel with little noise for a ISO 1000 MFT image. It looks like the kestrel has just dropped a worm from her talons. Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted November 6, 2021 Thanks Vincent! Good to hear from you! Prior to this shot I have some fuzzy images of this Kestrel flying around after catching a Dragonfly and I believe that piece in the air is part of the Dragonfly (seems to be a leg, I think). A week ago or so, she came out of a tree and caught a Grasshopper flying in mid-air and then yesterday she landed on the grass and caught the Dragonfly. I got shots for both occasion but they are all not well focus and can not be used. I will chalk that up as the fault of Mr Oly's slow focus/jk (yeah right, LOL!) . Actually, Mrs Kestrel is just too fast for me, it's hard to track in-filght shot at 800mm . Link to comment
