As a child I could watch my toy train go around and around the track for hours. Your treatment allows me to appreciate every nut and bolt on this engine. Excellent work, Daniel.

Daniel, if any photograph exemplifies power and strength. this is it. I suspect this is due to the head-on perspective which accompanies your expert composition. They give dominance to the furnace and, even more, to the cowcatcher. Indeed, if I were a cow lazily hanging out on the tracks a slight distance from the train this locomotive is pulling, I'd be scared enough to jump off the tracks immediately. Finally, in my opinion, this image HAD to be rendered in black and white. - - My best always, michael

Hi Daniel. What could be better than a good black and white that conveys drama and power? Not much. You’ve captured the imposing power of this steam locomotive in rich tones with interesting lines of the locomotive’s structure as well as the clouds and adjacent pavement, buildings and train to the left. Finally, I need to step off of the tracks to let this big boy go by.

Nicely done Daniel! My best to you my friend, Mick

Dear friends, fellow photography lovers. I send you an individual greeting and regards to each one of you I cannot thank you enough for your kind comments, which are so sympathetic comments. I do not say this lightly. The fact that you so generously watch, observe, analyze.....and then share your "feelings" of a photograph, anyone's photograph, situates me right at the threshold of each of you sharing with me the impression you obtained from my looking through the eyepiece. I cannot but bow with deep appreciation, thanks, and respect for the honor you so regale me with your comments. I value them, you do not know how much. DG
