Daniel, you must have channeled Lamont Cranston when you shot this photograph. My guess is that the largest shadow in mid-center is yours. You also captured another pedestrian in this shadowy world. The pedestrians in the upper right add less drama with their shadows, but they also add interest. Finally, the dots that range from fg to bg led me to abandon all hope in providing a guess as to their nature and purpose. For a street shot, this is an amazingly crafted and artistic abstract. - - My best always, michael

Most people habitually dismiss shadow portraits as if that genre has been done to death but all shadow portraits are not created equal. Personally I always enjoy seeing what variations the photographer can come up with. This one is very good indeed. The pebbled surface of the road and the curving row of lane markers immediately mark this picture as different. Following the metal markers carries us deeper into the composition and brings us to the pedestrians exiting the frame, an intriguing addition that adds to the dimensionality of the picture.

Dear and kind friends Michael, Wayne, and Sensei Jack: Never perfunctorily, I once and again sincerely thank you for your comments. The observations of details due me much honor. Indeed I found many elements in this image. For example, wanted to include the feet of pedestrians to an incomplete and, let me say "void or lacking essence"; or the gradual transition from pebbles to round. polished metal cones. The shadow of the lens of the camera was just pure luck. Thanks once again, as well as my best regards. DG
