Giangiorgio Crisponi 496 Posted July 3, 2021 This stormy sky makes the scene dramatic, like the fate of these trains. I'm sure that if they were put on a playground they would delight many children , ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted July 3, 2021 If trains were able to talk, these would tell us that they still have plenty of life left. DG, consider me agreeing wholeheartedly with Laurent and Giangiorgio about the ominous looking sky. Although the trains parked among weeds have plenty of impact, the sky puts it over the top. - - My best always, michael Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 6, 2021 Good one, Daniel. The ominous sky sets the tone for this picture. The low angle of the shot allows the sky to dominate and reinforces the feeling that it's literally as well as figuratively the end of the line for these apparently retired railroad engines and cars. Love the color as well. This one belongs among your bests and goes into my favorites. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted July 8, 2021 Kind friend, gentlemen: Laurent, Giangiorgio, Michael, and Jack: As I have so often stated, and it is by no means a cliche nor a hackneyed comment: Your comments humble me utterly. It is a true prize to have such accomplished and seasoned photographers, that sharing my work gives me great satisfaction. BUT receiving in response your comments and the time you so kindly took to look at my postings, is even a greater sense of humbleness, happy that individuals like yourselves somehow relate to my work. I have not enough words to thank you, individually, and appropriately. All my best to each one of you. DG Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted July 9, 2021 Jack: If I am honored by selecting this one among your favorites, therefore I deeply bow, Sensei, and reiterate the unique-in-life value for the Prologue of my book you so kindly, objectively, honorably (Honto neh!) gifted me with. All my close ones now know who Sensei McRitchie Sama is. Domo arigatososaimashita, Onegaishhi mas. Kiotsukete Kudasai. OOOOSSSS! Link to comment
