Gary-H 346 Posted March 1, 2021 One of the best and clear moon photos I have seen. Excellent work Laurent. What was the exposure time....can’t really tell from the settings data? Take Care, Gary Link to comment
gregverena 342 Posted March 2, 2021 We had 3-4 inches of rain, so no moon- this is a nicely done --what should I say? Moon shot? Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted March 2, 2021 Gary....Thank you for the kind observation.I am really not into this moon photography,so I went to Google and followed the suggestion:set at ISO 100,aperture at f16,speed at 1/60th sec but as my eyes are not so good especially with such a small target even with my 300mm lense,I went to AF.I did not have a tripod,so I braced myself with lense held firmly against the varenda railing.I ran multi shots with +&- f stops.Fortunately,it wasn't so cold with temperatures just below freezing,so I didn't freeze my hands on the camera nor my knees on the varenda and came up with a fair number of ok shots including this one touched up in PP.Would not shoot any moon tonight as we are being clobbered with snow and violent winds.Hope this helps!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 2, 2021 Greg & Verena...Last night was great with clear sky and not so cold....just great for moon shots!Thought winter was behind us with relatively low snowfall for here....but got 10 inches day before yesterday and being clobbered right now by high winds and snow expected to be over 12 inches...well!!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
