Larry thank you for your visit for your interesting comment. I bought this Sigma 300-800 about 15 years ago, I was surprised by its quality. Recently with the purchase of the Nikon D850 I am even more satisfied because the images are much sharper. The disadvantage of this optic is the weight, you can only use it with a tripod or as often happens to me, on a bean-bag placed on the car window. A few months ago I bought the 150-600 mm Sport from Sigma, much lighter and easier to handle, but the quality seems to me slightly inferior to the old 300-800 mm. ciao Giangiorgio
