On a walk on a very bright november afternoon (just before sunset) this week , I stumbled upon these blackberries. I just had my 150-600 mm lens with me and made a close-up at a focal length of 374 mm (598 mm effective focal length) with an aperture of 6.3, in order to have a minimal DoF, as the background was pretty busy. The focus was on the leaf behind the most developed berry. I liked the deep colors and the shadows. Your comments are very welcome.

I like this unusual blackberry sunset, Vincent! It is very interesting to see all the stages of berry ripening in the frame. Wonderful colors, light, shadows, background, mood ... Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana

Hi Tatiana,

thank you (again!) for these wonderful comments! Glad you like it. The different stages of ripening amazed me; I knew it isn't uncommon, but I think this plant had a striking variation of ripe and green berries. I might go back and pick some, if birds didn't beat me to it. Kind regards, Vincent
