a strong vertical composition with a clear center of attention, helped by some vignetting, done with restraint. I thought I knew this plant, although this seems to be another variety of it than the one I'm familiar with. I like the colors and the simplicity of the image. Kind regards, Vincent

Hi Vincent...thanks so much for your very thoughtful and detailed feedback. It is much appreciated. I believe the variety you are referring to is Sedum Spectabile Autumn Joy...so says my wife who is an expert on plants.

my compliments to your wife's expertise, she's absolutely right! The 'autumn joy' is the one I referred to; it's the flower in my photo of the small tortoiseshell. I used to have that plant in my garden. Kind regards, Vincent
