Slime Mold

codepic

These fellows were originally classified as fungi, mushrooms. While now they're classified as protista, single cell organisms. Something like huge amoebas.Well I found out that this fellow had crawled from underground into my backyard last summer and before it dried in the sunlight I decided to take a quick shot of it.These things are beautiful, interesting and scary. They spend most of their lives underground but from a chemical impulse they crawl up to multiply and die. Some people say that these things have even minor intelligence. Who knows but it's true that they're able to crawl after food.As you can see this dewd is climbing up on the bush 8)Search Google for slime molds
