michaellinder 16,613 Posted August 13, 2020 Antony, you're off to the races! The island appears like it's rising from the water, like a portable habitat that can be placed somewhere else if the current one has lost its allure or functionality. Once it moves away, its reflection will cease to exist. On a technical note, the varied detail is mesmerizing. - - My best always, michael Link to comment

vincentoiseau 83 Posted August 16, 2020 Hi Antony, this looks great! It's one of the first fisheye photos that I really enjoy. In lots of cases I think the extreme viewing angle is like a gimmick, but here it's really showing the surroundings. I like the colors and the surface of the water, reflecting part of the sky. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted August 17, 2020 Tony...I think you knew the Island and its crowning cloud formation doubled up in that great reflection were prime subjects for the fisheye and you nailed it!A choice image going to my Favorites!Bravo et salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Tony Long 28 Posted August 17, 2020 Vincent, thank you! So pleased I have presented a fisheye image you enjoy. I use Canon's 8-15mm fisheye zoom, generally as a tool to get wide images with subtle curving.RegardsTony Link to comment
Tony Long 28 Posted August 18, 2020 Hi Laurent Glad you enjoy my picture. Brilliant comment, but I have to confess it doesn't quite happen in such an organised way for me. After years of ME(ME/CFS) related cognitive decline, my ability to organise has been eroded to the point where I just let the brain get on with whatever it wants to do in whatever situation I find myself...... autopilot really. Having said that I am very fortunate to still be so functional, as so many with this wretched disease are housebound. Regards Tony Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted August 19, 2020 Tony...Sorry to hear of your bout with ME/CFS which makes me that more appreciative of the quality of your images.I can only imagine your struggle based on my limitations on the sole weight of the normal wear of the 75+ years of this body I have to deal with.Bon courage et meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
