I shot this photograph while in Athens, Georgia in late May/early June, 2020. The main campus of the University of Georgia is located in downtown Athens. This protest was held approximately 100 yards off campus in the middle of Broad Street, otherwise known as the Atlanta Highway. I will be grateful for comments.

Michael, this is a beautiful b/w image that captures this street/editorial scene perfectly. Reminds me of the late 60’s and the mindless anarchy espoused then. Their next statements will be, you want fries with that? ;-)

Michael- good journalistic shot- would love to see others of protests maybe in NY area? Surprised there are not more on PN. BTW, my recollection of 60's protests were certainly not mindless nor anarchistic on the whole- It was anti-war, civil rights, student rights, women's rights- etc. (yes, there were some violent groups, formed out of frustration-not to excuse that- but again, often the police were more violent than they.

Mike, I'm glad you connected with this image. FYI, before I shot it, I observed the protest for a few minutes; it appeared quite orderly and purposeful. No "mindless anarchy" here.
