Clearcut

The main image is straight from the camera, but the framing is a

collection of originals manipulated in photoshop.

I don't care for the bordering, but I love the picture.

I really like the picture. But I don't think that the framing suits the mood the picture creates.

I agree with the others... Why this framing?

I think that the framing really draws away from the picture. The frame might work well with another photo....just not this one. In fact, I'm having a hard time getting past the frame to see the picture, but I will rate on the picture only and my rating could be higher if I could just see the picture.

Ah, those grand plans. My original concept was to demonstrate the relationship of clearcut forrestry to postcards and the local lumber store. Seems like I did not convey that message well. Perhaps the image speaks the same message without the heavy-handed commentary. Thanks for the comments. I will repost without the border.

On the contrary - I like the frame. I picked up on the relationship you were drawing on, and I think it makes a more powerful statement with the frame.

Tim, don't get me wrong, I understood what you were trying to do. I just didn't feel that the colour of the frame convayed the same mood as the picture. Especially in the bottem right frame portion. Too bright and warm compared to the sense of gloom and sadness in the picture. The stand alone picture looks great.
