Longtail Moth

For your critique and ratings. Many thanks as I always enjoy your

feedback, good or bad. This is a moth I found on one of my plants in

the garden this past summer.

What a great moth, great lighting. I can't decide if I would have preferred another (different) angle, or if I like the 4 stems on the right and the purple flowers leading the eye out the frame. On one hand it does add depth and shows how the moth almost blends in and my eye does go back to the moth... anyway one neat moth I'd taken as many shots of it as it would have allowed me to...

Chief, the leading lines from the three stmes is phenomonal, and the slight hints of purple make this oen one of my favorites. Looks so perfect. I love it.

I am not one to be drawn [like a moth?] to these kinds of photos, but this is outstanding for its overall composition, and of course the unusual and pleasing color. I love it.

Lovely accent of essentially a monotone picture. I wonder if it could be at all done without any digitizing.

It's amazing how it blends into the hosta both in colour and texture. Did you notice even the little bud-shaped markings that match the flower? Beautiful shot.

It reminds me of a Henri Rouseau painting with various layers of green. I can't think of the name of it right now, but great job!!

The name of the painting was "The Waterfall, 1910".

You have a very powerful portfolio! I had a hard time picking a favorite. I like this image because of the very strong compositional elements, beautiful pastel greens, and a beautiful subject matter. Heads and shoulders above the average insect shot!
