vincentoiseau 83 Posted March 19, 2020 Hi Todd, wonderful shot! The bird (I have never seen this species before, not even in a picture) is obviously looking for something. What species is it? I only know European birds. The composition, colors, DoF and focus are all very good. Well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment

Todd Kraenzel 1 Posted March 19, 2020 Hi Vincent, thank you for your great comment! I looked it up myself because I do not know the Australian bird species very well, and it is called a Noisy Miner. It is part of the Honeyeater family of birds. They were very plentiful around the parks in Sydney and from what I have read, they are very aggressive with other bird species. Warmest regards, Todd Link to comment
peter.s 0 Posted March 19, 2020 Todd, I'm looking at it again, this time in large, and liking it even more. It's a *very* good photo. PS for Vincent also, I thought at first this was just a spelling variation on the Mynah bird , but no it is a separate species, and Todd (shouldn't have doubted) has it correctly as a Noisy Miner.
