Rob_L1664876404 0 Posted December 16, 2019 The AT-1 was my second SLR... and one of my favorites. It recorded many a happy memory for me. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 268 Posted December 16, 2019 I bought it in the time of communism together with 35-70 mm lens and 50 mm 1,8 lens on him and later bought a second hand almost new AE-1 and then I started with serious (to some extent) photography. Thank you for your visit Rob! PDE Link to comment
EddieF1 1 Posted December 16, 2019 The AT-1 was the first quality camera I ever bought. That was back in the late 70"s. I still love the way it operated with the speed under your finger and the aperture on the lens. It has been sitting on a shelf in my room for many years. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,612 Posted December 16, 2019 PDE, if the camera were a king or queen, I'd be inclined to look at the draped velvet simply as standard regal dress. The metaphor here should be obvious, with the implication that the camera is royalty in its own way. As an aside, my second SLR was an AE-1. I still have it, and it looks like it's still in working order. - - My best always, michael Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 268 Posted December 16, 2019 My AT-1 and AE-1, although with good batteries simply don't work, Michael! When I press on the shutter button nothing happens! Thank you for your contribution to the discussion! PDE Link to comment
